Gunz Online News & Events & Guides
GunZ Online. What is it?
GunZ Online is an impressive little third-person shooter and can be described as a Matrix type interface. Characters are avaliable to perform backflips, wallruns, and other impossible things. The game is in no way realistic but offers alot of fun. It started as a Korean game by Maeit and progressed to make an International Beta for the whole world to see;Gunz Online Bounty which later progressed to region rerstricted games. Ijji controls the North American servers, Level Up! Games controls south america, and Maiet has the asian (As far as I know.) While everyone else is in international.
The Experiance (Note: I started on International GunZ)
As to avoid constant blabbering Gunz Online Bounty; I'll first tell you guys about my experiance in GunZ. My exact experiance from being a newb to a someone liable veteren player.
So we start at level 1. Creating a character seemed bland as there were only 4-5 faces to choose from and 4-5 hair styles with a gender of male or female (though I didn't mind the gender thing.. I mean... what else can you have? Hermaphrodite?). As far as the classes went, it only determined what your character weapons are and does not affect gameplay much at all in the future as you replace your old guns for the latest model anyway Gunz Online Bounty.
So you start the game after you create your character and enter the Entry Level Channel. This is for players 1-5 starting the game fresh. As expected, everyone was quite easy. I adapt to games quite easily and with that, WASD is to move, shift to block, space to jump. Simple enough. The game went on as any other game would at first Gunz Online Bounty, familiarizing with the game. Double tapping a movement key makes you tumble forward to avoid bullets. After two deaths or so; I realize you HAVE to tumble and you have to run; don't walk, or else you'll just be marked with a huge bullseye (not literally speaking)
So level 1-5 is over. Level 6 comes up. 6-12, Beginners Channel. Everyone was easy in Entry-Level, and no offense to anyone but it was too extremely easy; as if babies were playing that game. I was easily the first in every match but I guess that opinion changes from one person to another Gunz money. As you become level 5-6, new weapons are avalible for you; better weapons. Being the bold person I am, I pick the shotgun and go into the battle...
At this point you will see that people start to play a little differently... A little better, a little more strategical. Nothing too hard but still, it wasn't as easy off as in the entry-level. With a little better aim and a little better movement so that you would just need to try and hit them Gunz money. This is usually the stage people will start to learn how to aim; What I learned is that the hit box is ahead of the player and that ping means alot. For each 100 ping, you must aim 10 mm away to get a hit. I also learned that the hit counter that tells you that you hit ingame is completely wrong (well most of the time anyway).
Now... Once you hit level 12; the challenge starts. Something called K-style is put into play, an advanced gaming style introduced by the players themselves. How it came into play; not really sure really. K-style stands for Korean Style; a whole different type ofgameplay that mixes speed with skill. It is a mixture of using your character's sword and a weapon. Although it is harder to kill someone who is using k-style, they are still killable and is not neccesary to learn. In my case however; I learned it before level 16.... From 16+ it's a repetition of more fights and grinding Gunz money. I got to level 45 before the International Servers died...
