Subscription-based MMOs that offer you a free way to play the game looks to be a growing trend. The first of the big publishers to offer such an option was EA with its endless free trial of Warhammer Online (WHO). Now it seems Funcom are joining up with an endless trial for Age of Conan.
In the case of WHO you could play for as long as you like with any character you like, but are limited to only reaching level 10 with each. You also can’t pick which server to play on and age of conan gold you can’t send mail or start auctions. AoC’s endless trial is slightly different. You are limited to the starting area of the
The unlimited trial requires the download of a special client so this looks as though it won’t work for existing installs of players who stopped their subscriptions. Download the client though, and aoc gold you will be able to play for free. This offer is also limited and will end on January 1st.
Matthew’s Opinion
I played aoc gold earlier this year and after the major content changes. I managed to get a character up to level 28 before my free trial was over and I did quite enjoy it. Seeing as the game is free and characters can be taken to level 20 you will get a good idea of what the game is like. In the end though, it is just another MMO and if you don’t like them then you probably won’t like AoC either.
Subscription-based MMOs are in for a difficult time in the future. That’s not due to the ongoing success of World of Warcraft, but because free to play MMOs are getting better in terms of quality and age of conan gold there are just more of them. You only have to look at a specialists website
