Uncharted Waters Online News & Events & Guides
After you choose your genderless being with a blurry body, you are then presented with another choice. What will be your starting class and what will be your starting outfit? The three starting classes are Adventurer Learner, Trade Learner, and Military Learner. I wouldn't spend too much time debating on this because what the game does that I really like is allow you to change classes freely as long as you meet the requirements. This takes out the long nights of pondering what you should be, okay maybe it only takes half a minute or less, but still, you get my point. After this is the clothing, I do like that they did this which a lot of games neglect is giving the players an option of what they look like starting out. To be honest the options aren't very wide and it is more of coloration than different looks, but the option is there and it is good enough.
Should I join in on the lectures?
One of the first options you will have in game is if you want Uncharted Waters Online Gold to do the tutorial. Honestly? I recommend you go through it. The tutorial is geared to give you information on the area you selected by going through different factors you will need to know in the game. In the case of the military training, which is what I took for my character the information was invaluable to a new player. You will learn what you need to know to be ready to set sail. That you need to check the food, water, crew levels of your ship, and how to restock those levels. The tutorial even covers battling on the sea by putting you in mock battles and overly easy fights to get you used to the combat. Another plus to the tutorial system is the school chat. This is a chat where you can talk to other students, which is appropriately labeled "School". I used this a few times with questions I had and the community was rather friendly and prompt in answering my questions, no matter how noobish they may have been. The tutorial itself is rather long due to how much it covers but you will get paid since each class is considered a quest in game. You also will get items as well which will help you or your ship. In the military training I received some basic armor for my ship to defend it in combat, and items such as lumber and carpentry tools to help repair the ship when damaged out on the sea. So even if you are hesitant to join a tutorial you can at least do it for the starting cash, but beyond that do it so you know enough to sail out and not just sink because you were lost in what you needed to do. The company did a good job in the tutorial and it will get you off on the right foot.
