When you come straight to the quiz from merchant Mode and remeber not to forgot to put your wares back to the storekeeper. Again, go to the Trader to the South of the Animal Trainer and also across from the entrance to the Quiz Room. You can use armor 5 levels(last chaos gold ) above you, also can use a weapon 4 levels above you. If you are level 6, you could use level 10 gloves. At level 11, you may equip shirt and pants. Then at level 12, you can equip a helm and boots. At level 5 is the time you could use a level 9 weapon. You can always equip a higher armor or weapon but you will incur a penalty. Even though in your stats it may show your attack or defense higher, you still have the penalty and not as the stats indicate.
